GOD of miracles

“The scene takes place in 2003. As Pastor of a ministry known as the Mission Réveil Spirituel (MRS–“Spiritual Awakening Mission”), I brought the members of MRS to Gbazabangui hill at Boy-Rabe, in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR), for us to pray. Every Wednesday, we used to fast and pray at the hill.

One day, while we were praying, one of the sisters received a vision from the Lord: She saw a person who wanted to fly, but we, the members of MRS, we held that person, preventing her from flying. The sister shared this vision with the group, but we did not immediately understand the meaning.

Warned by the Spirit of GOD

Luke 2:26; 1 Corinthians 2:10; Matthew 2:12; Matthew 2:13-15; Matthew 2:19-23; Hebrews 11:7

After the closing prayer, I led the group walking down the hill. We had agreed to end the prayer at the hill at 1:00 PM, then carry on at one of our sister’s home (i.e. sister Tété) at Boy-Rabe from 2:00 PM.

As we were walking down the hill, the Spirit of God said, “This path is not good. People should not use it.” Immediately after hearing God’s warning, I told the group, “let no one goes through here! Everyone should go through the other side!”

Unfortunately, one of the sisters did not listen and continued to follow me…

The sister had fallen on a piece of wood (i.e. a cassava branch), which pierced straight through her stomach to her back by her buttocks…

Give thanks to the Lord at all times

Psalm 34:2; Ephesians 5:20-21; Psalm 103:2

The sister asked if she was going to die. I told her that Jesus Christ has the keys of Hades. I added that if she was to die in Boy-Rabe, she would not have left her home in Guitangola to come in Bangui, which is about 10 to 11 kilometers.

I then asked her to close her eyes, and I gave thanks to the Lord.

Some of the brothers who were among us carried her at the foot of the hill, from where we took a taxi to a hospital known as Hôpital Communautaire (“Community Hospital”).

Nothing is impossible with GOD

Luke 1:37; Matthew 17:20; Luke 18:27

Upon arriving at the Community Hospital, the Doctors told us that they could not carry a surgery on her and that we were to take her to another medical facility known as Hôpital de l’Amitié (“Friendship Hospital”). We were given an ambulance to take us there.

When we arrived at the Friendship Hospital, we were informed that the Doctor who was to carry out the surgery was absent. He had gone to look after his field in the outskirts of Bangui. Upon his return to the hospital, he told us to have the sister’s blood checked, then to go and buy blood packs for transfusion. By the time we were through, it was about 7 PM.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for

Hebrews 11:1; Hebrews 11:11-12

Meanwhile, the Doctor had called a crew from the national TV station, as well as journalists who interviewed the sister. She stood on her faith, stating that she knew she was not going to die.

The Doctor told me that as soon as he would remove the piece of wood, the sister would die. I told him that the contrary would happen and that she would live. The Doctor got angry.

Glory be to GOD. The Bible says that “though a righteous man falls [physically] seven times, he rises again.” (Proverbs 24:15-16)

The surgery was successful and the sister stayed alive, as per her faith…

GOD of miracles

Mark 16:17-18; John 20:30; Acts 2:43; Acts 12:4-11

The Doctor then stated that she would not be able to have children. But GOD did the opposite. The sister has two children and to this day, she is alive.

She lives near Damara, in CAR, and continues to serve the Lord. From time to time, she visits us at MRS.

The vision that one of our sisters had received before the fall of the sister was very clear: The person who wanted to fly was the sister who had fallen and who had to die. Those who were holding her represented us in fact, as we were praying and interceding for a miracle from the Lord who, in the end, answered our prayers.

Living in Jesus Christ, even in times of persecution

2 Timothy 3:12; Matthew 5:10; John 15:20; 1 Corinthians 4:12

If you serve the Lord in holiness, fearful of His Holy Name, you will always be persecuted and tested. Thus 2 Timothy 3:12 says: “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” But when that happens, do not curse the Name of your GOD. Know that GOD is able and can even raise the dead.

If we had started crying and cursing GOD, our sister would be dead by now and the Name of our GOD would have been ridiculed and tarnished.

To GOD be the Glory!”

GOD of miracles

Monday, March 23, 2015

This is an excerpt from the message on “GOD of miracles” shared by Pastor Léonard Gonitoua, President of P.A.S. HOPFAN, as a testimony on GOD’s power as experienced in 2003:

“The scene takes place in 2003. As Pastor of a ministry known as the Mission Réveil Spirituel (MRS–“Spiritual Awakening Mission”), I brought the members of MRS to Gbazabangui hill at Boy-Rabe, in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR), for us to pray. Unfortunately, one of the sisters did not listen and continued to follow me…

Soon after, the sister, who was 17 at the time, fell. Several members of the group who had seen her falling shouted, “Someone has fallen!” I heard them, but I was not paying attention thinking that it was not serious. But as they insisted, I stopped.
